A snowy and dangerous day

I didn’t go to work today. I woke up with full intention to go, but the traffic out front was backed up and I assumed it was because of the weather. I walked outside and took a few pictures to capture the mess; it’s much easier to just show those than try to explain how bad it really was. I made a set on Flickr:

I’m not too fond of snow (because I have to commute in it), but solid ice on a really steep hill is much, much worse.

When I went to the gym at 6 this morning, it wasn’t bad. The roads were their usual snow-covered selves after a bit of an overnight storm. But once I got back home for a shower and was ready to go to class – there was no way I was leaving in it. Apparently, all of Evansdale lost power earlier, too, stopping the PRT for a while.

Oh wow, I didn’t know that. I wasn’t sure how it was in town—I only know what it’s like up here on top of Mount Everest.

Aside from the nasty ice, it seems like nice snow. Good for a massive snowball fight.
