For lack of a better word

I don’t like the word “blog”. I’m not sure why, but I try to avoid saying it. I prefer “site” when refering to an actual location on the internet, and “post” when refering to the information posted to a site. But that doesn’t always get the point across. If I’m writing, I’ll often put it in “quotes” to imply that it’s not within my daily lingo. I guess I use it for lack of a better word.

OK, carry on.

Blog is an annoying, yet necessary word in today’s vocabulary. I prefer journal or notebook (both of which I’ve used), and article (and now scrap) instead of post. Post isn’t as bad as blog, though.

Yeah, those are all good alternatives. The first I’ve seen/heard of notebook was on your site… I think that’s still my favorite. Although, I guess it sort of depends on the application. Scrap completely defines how you currently handle your site. In any case, blog is not the winner.
